Merry Christmas 2009

Merry Christmas to all my readers.
I’ve spent close to SGD2k on gifts for my family this year, despite the recession. Don’t ask me why, I just feel that I don’t spend much time with them, and it’s during Christmas that I get to show make up for it them how much I love them .
People say Christmas is about giving, not about what you receive. To them I say, you have never opened a giftbox and found a shimmering Bvlgari rock inside. Sure getting useless shit is good, but exepensive useless shiny jaw-dropping shite is better.
Yes, yes. I may sound materialistic. But I live in a world with little joy and have somehow evolved a constitution that only gleans pleasure and happiness from the emotions of others.
One day, I will retire to be a farmer in the Cameron Highlands.
If you haven’t told your family members how much you love them, I suggest you do so now. Life is much shorter than you think.
