Blogging Is The New Old Thing?

Blogging is no longer what it was, because it has entered the mainstream. Flow my tears, said the bloggers.
Balderdash!
According to the article, blogging has grown cold and impersonal.
For years, I have have spouting the mantra that bloggers have gotten too greedy about monetizing their pathetic little blogs. That they are more concerned about moving in the right circle of blogging cliques or appearing at the product launches or other silly PR-engineered events.
Blogging, is about the audience, the blogger and the content. In a nutshell, the blogger creates the content to connect to the audience, in that sequence.
I don’t get crazy traffic, but then again I don’t do crazy things on my blog to attract that kind of attention. Not that I care much for the traffic, but my audience is growing. The number of new folk seeking out the liberal arts, grown-up stuff and random mischief continue to join the ranks of loyal readers that return every day.
Nothing makes me happier than when being introduced as Cowboy Caleb, the other person remarks that they read my blog, or have friends that read my blog everyday. And this happens a lot.
In fact, I like to think that my blog complements your morning coffee, before you start your day doing what you do at your soul-crushing job.
Do you think I’m keeping it real?
