Why I’m Not Getting An iPhone

Don’t get me wrong, I think the iPhone is swell. I’m getting a few for family and friends, but not one for myself – I’m sticking with my Blackberry Pearl for now.

Firstly, when a plane lands on the ground and all the business travelers reach for their pockets to powerup their mobile phones – nearly every single one is going to be some variant of a blackberry (pearl, curve etc). You know when somebody is not a business traveler when he plucks out a non-blackberry phone.

And then there is the problem of email – iPhone still doesnt have push mail. My VERY IMPORTANT BUT IRRELEVANT EMAILS are not going to magically appear on the iPhone like it does on my blackberry.

Worst of all, iPhones are cool but are closely identified with the younger crowd. No executive that needs to impress is going to be caught dead with that gang.

So to me for now, an iPhone is like the Toyota Vios. It’s cool and cute therefore all the fanboys and fangirls want one. But some of us do kinda like the Toyota Camry better.

Me, I just want my email. Now.

Actually i like the Blackberry but I dun like the responsibility that comes with it. Especially when its a company phone

Coz seriously, iPhone is really selling brand la.

Other mobile phones provide better functions, like Sony Ericsson for cameras etc..

i think iphone has push email…from microsoft exchange…using it now in fact =)

if you are really gg to europe (as per your plurk), getting an iphone is not too good either because it’s cold and you gotta wear gloves.

iPhone haz push. I like it cause I am using it right now to comment to ur blogentry. It has the same look and feel like my home computer ….btw don’t make yourself older than u are :) I think many people hate the iPhone cause of all of the hype, buuuut it’s still a nice gadget
