Today, I woke up at 5am to clear some email and then stumbled to the hotel lobby at7am to get to the office early for it was yet to be another Long-Day.
When I got to the office, I had a pleasant surprise. My team was waiting for me inside my office with a cake and present. I have been so busy lately that I forgotten what day it was. My staff gave me a pen, because they said they had noticed I kept going about asking for pens to sign documents where I went. This little token of appreciation from my staff nearly brought tears to my eyes.
And then throughout the day, best wishes and congrats came in the form of sms’s, emails and phone calls. Most of which regretably, I failed to reply or take because I was stuck in meetings at the time.
So to all those who remembered, thanks!
I’ll try not to forget your bday….
