Why Is LG Giving Me A Free Mobile Phone?

I have a very strange relationship with LG.

Last year around this time, they gave me a free LG Shine phone and that was the last I ever heard from them. Next thing I knew, they were having parties and product launches but they never did get around to sending me an invite - not that I would have gone because I’m anonymous but it’s the thought that counts.

Then I get this in the mail.

Dear Caleb,
Congratulations! You have been selected to be a Prosumer (Producer Consumer) for the newly
launched LG KF700 and will receive a complimentary LG KF700 handset worth $698!

As a Prosumer, you will be one of the first to try out LG’s new User Interface mobile handset, the LG KF700. Upon receipt of the handset, you will be required to write a total of three blogs by end of July on your first hand experience and views on the phone.

So I’m not invited to events but I’m okay to be in the ‘Prosumer Gang’. Weird lah! Anyway, I don’t mind getting a free mobile phone to try out since I’ve lost my Blackberry Curve in China.

it’s like being the illegit son of the family. no party but good stuff by the back door.

i still find it weird when ppl say “blogs” for “posts/entries” coz it’s like saying “u must write a total of three books by the end of july” than “chapters”…

sweet deal really. 3 blog posts for $698. that comes up to approx $232 a post! i wonder if anyone will give me home appliances when my blog gets popular… :)
