Horrid Days Are Here Again

Okay, here is a run down of my day today.

3.30am - My phone rings. It’s the driver. He says I requested for a 3.30am to the airport. I scream “I ASKED FOR A 5.30AM!!!”. Can’t get back to sleep.

5.30am - Leave house for Changi airport.

6.30am - Discover that the Krisflyer Gold lounge is only serving Pork with Century Egg Congee - I hate Century eggs. Skipped breakfast.

7am - Can’t find those Indonesian Sampoerna ciggies in the duty free at Terminal 3. Had to go all the way to Terminal 2.

7.45am - Realize that my departure gate is at A17 - which is so far away, they even provide you with a skytrain to get there. RUN LIKE HELL, COWBOY!!!

8.05am - Board plane to realize that I didn’t get a ‘good seat’. Albeit I got the lousy aisle seat near the sodding washroom.

9.10am - Krisflyer entertainment system broken. Can’t watch movies.

12pm - Turbulence! Feel really really sick.

12.30pm - Waited 10 mins for the driver. Realize that driver has actually been in front of me. Did not recognize him because he’s new.

2.30pm - I left my mobile phone in the car. Driver says he doesn’t know anything. FUCK!!!! I lost my Blackberry!

3pm - Another member of my team resigned. Reason - stress.

6pm - Arrive at hotel only to discover there is no electricity.
6.30pm - still no electricity!
7pm - still no electricity!!
7.45pm - Finally checked into my room. Realized I forgot to bring shower gel.

If it’s any comfort, my brudder Jaywalk arrived at my hotel around 8pm to deliver a mobile phone + China sim card so that I could remain in touch with everybody. I am so touched. You da Man, Jay.

Nothing is worst than losing the mobile phone while you are away from home, especially when oversea.

No offence, but your ranting shows that you have truly become Singaporean. Not only do you not have to take a cab to the airport, you are sent there by a man who woke up at 2.30am (albeit mistakenly), and upon reaching, you sit not in the economy waiting area, but in some lounge that 90% of travellers never get access to. You also have a blackberry when most of us have handphones.

I hope that someday if I can have all these luxuries, I appreciate them.
