The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) which costs RM3.5 million a month, is comprised of 95% foreigners who earn between RM16,000 and RM28,000 a month with 2 months vacation - paid for by the citizens of Malaysia.

Perfectly normal salaries.. the SSO’s should be comparable :) If they don’t do this, nobody would join our orchestras — you should check out how much a player in a big name orchestra like the New York Philharmonic makes.

Exactly…. in fact B level. I have found so much crap about this online lately. If Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia ever want to be first world, this cry babying needs to stop at once and people need to start focusing on real issues…. like the fact that their police force is perhaps the most corrupt on earth. Extortion, arresting people and throwing them in jail without charging them with anything… Disgusting. Glad I don’t live there!
