Superman Goes Poo-Poo

Sent from the mobile phonecam of cowboycaleb.

This sign with an imaginary meta-human defacating was spotted on the wall of a toilet of a jap restaurant called Bono in ChangAn which Jaywalk brought me to for dinner.

Anybody knows what it’s saying?

it means, “males who can sit, please sit(and do your business)”, but i don’t know what the last 3 characters before the full-stop is saying

‘ション’ could be ‘pee’.

The small characters say ‘let’s preserve the earth’.

It’s Taitsukun, my secret lover!

Yes, it encourages men to sit. “dekiru otoko ha suwarishon”. Suwarishon is an expression for peeing while sitting. I don’t know how it was created. Maybe revolution+suwari (sit)? On the other hand, j-men had to traditionally sit when peeing into their weird squatting toilets.

i thought ション meant “tion” or “revolution” as well, but after Elia’s comment, i did a search on Jim Breen’s Dictionary and it says, (小便)しょうべん;しょんべんをする:to pee

i guess they should teach such terms in japanese class too… lol

aha! thanks for finding this out! I thought that shon would be “tion” because it is written in katakana. But oh well, it may just be 4 emphasis, like otoko is.
