Food of the celestial eldritch gods

Sent from the mobile phonecam of cowboycaleb.

Once every 2 weeks, I bring my team leaders on a shopping trip to a nearby supermarket where we load up on fruits and junk food.

Since I expect them to work weekends and public holidays for the next few months, its only fair that I provide some fringe benefits.

The only problem I face is that junk food has a totally different context in China. They dislike chocs and biscuits, choosing pickled spicy tofu, anchovies and other ghastly (to me) stuff instead.

So I don’t have any junk food for myself.

I know. Rabbit head, chicken neck or legs …all these can be found at fast food outlets in Chengdu. I can still remember the smell….they use some kind of spice “szechuan” style, very different from our szechuan dishes here. Even Mcdonald’s too. If you stick to the original Big Mac, they will give you a packet of that seasoning too.
