In other news, my wife bought me an iPod Classic (80G) suddenly. I suspect she’s trying to cheer me up because all the signs of depression are there (insomnia, reduced appetite, increased alcohol consumption).

So I spent most of last night loading my mp3’s into my new iPod but the bulk of the effort was spent on locating album cover art.

In fact, my new iPod seems to be laggy, and I think the culprint causing the slowdown is the album cover art image loading. Anybody else have this problem?

My 80gb classic is noticeably laggy as compared to my 1st gen nano. A bit of an irk initially, but you’ll get used to it.

Loading less video onto the ipod may help.

don’t blame depression too much….you will find yourself using too much of this excuse all time. I just found out myself.

Well iPod classic runs on a HDD which takes time to spin and search for the stuff, unlike the instantness of the solid state memory inside a nano!
