5 Reasons To Become A Nuffnang Glitterati Blogger

So I’m now a Nuffnang Glitterati - which means I serve Nuffnang ads exclusively on my blog. Click on the pic above to see the confirmation of my Glitterati status.

Lots of debate have been going on about Nuffnang’s controversial Glitterati program which basically requires you to serve their ads exclusively (no other ad network that originates from South East Asia) in exchange for increased ad placements, increased ad earnings (20-40%), advertorial placements (which pay the most) and prefered allocation of tickets for Nuffnang community events.

I think that’s a good deal.

Here are 5 reasons why you should sign-up with Nuffnang’s Glitterati program.

  1. Nuffnang is at an early stage of growth. Look at the quality of their advertisers - Motorola, Citibank, Nike etc. This is just the beginning - get in on this deal early to avoid the rush.
  2. Advertorials are massive money spinners and only Glitterati qualify for advertorial opportunities. You’ll make more money from one advertorial than 5-7 ad campaigns. This should be a huge motivator for you to become a Glitterati.
  3. Go for quality not quantity - most bloggers are not professional. No matter how many ads you place from multiple ad agencies, your income is not going to be increasing at an exponential rate anytime soon. Why not simplify and stick to Nuffnang exclusively for South-East Asian ads and one or two other western ad agencies like Google Adsense?
  4. Nuffnang organizes huge and fun community events like movie outings. They’re a blast to attend with your friends and meet up with other bloggers. Becoming a Glitterati entitles you to 70% of the ticket allocation and you get to bring guests too. This reason alone should be good enough for you to signup.

  5. This blogger personally knows Ming and Timothy, the founders of Nuffnang. They have the vision and determination to see this all the way to the end. With the entry of so many other Blog ad agencies vying for the local market, Nuffnang will still be the last man standing at the end. Notice how the other ad agencies are now lauching their own “exclusive programs”? Nuffnang is/was the pioneer in the field of blogger advertising and continue to reinvent the field.

Well let me see about your five reasons

1) High stage of growth yes, but ads are not going to everyone in the first place. So, why glitteri?

2) If only glitteri gives ads opportunities, then nuffnang is really bad as a company.

3) Go for quality, not quantity. However Nuffnang isn’t giving much quality either? Unless you mean money isn’t the measure for quality of Nuffnang.

4) 70% of ticket allocation goes to Glitteri members. Not 70% of glitteri members get tickets. Big difference man.

5) Just because it launched the first exclusive program means its the pioneer? Only advertlets launch exclusive programs. Blog2u didn’t. THis doesn’t mean anything.

I think Nuffnang seems to be reinventing the meaning of how to get screwed by lousy customer service.
