10 Little Things That Make Me Happy

The rationalneurotic tagged me, so I have to do this meme.

Here are 10 little things that make me happy:

1. When the baby of a stranger, smiles at me.
2. When people say ‘Thank You’ sincerely.
3. Early morning breakfasts with my family on Sunday mornings.
4. Beer in the afternoon at Holland Village with friends
5. Calls/Email/SMS’s from friends I haven’t seen in awhile
6. Driving home with all the traffic lights on green.
7. Hot coffee with a tuna sandwich at a cafe
8. People being friends with me, instead of Cowboy Caleb.
9. Slow shopping at up-scale supermarkets like Jason’s Marketplace.
10. Walking around Ikea. Don’t ask why

I like the last 2 things as well. So sad that Jason’s at Paragon has shrunk in floor size. Usually I’ll just walk around Ikea for inspirations about life, maybe because I was a furniture in my previous life :-P

Remember, there is always another view to your list:
(1) the baby has gas, that is why it is smiling!
(2) the person saying ‘thank you’ just picked your pocket!
(3) you probably had to cook the family breakfast!
(4) you just got fired for drinking while on the job!
(5) who pays for all of those telecons/emails/SMSs on that fancy blackberry!
(6) now you have a traffic ticket from the corrupt Malaysian police!
(7) you just got food poisoning you got from the bad tuna!
(8) friends just want you to buy the first round of drinks!
(9) what about the credit card statement from the shopping trip!
(10) having to assemble the furniture you bought at IKEA!

i like walking around ikea too. it’s like a gigantic home away from home.

op-h - come on la… this is meant to be a nice simple exercise where you’ll smile when you’re writing this. You got to have some things in your life where it makes you smile! Be it a kiss on the cheek from someone you love, a job well done, a great meal.

And, thank you, cowboy, for doing this. I hope it gave you a smile on your face. =) at least for a while!
