Cowboy Caleb recommends NuffNang and Text Link ads to earn money from your blog

  • Advertlets Ushers In 2008 With A Royal Screw-Up

Whois records shown that advertles.com has expired on 04-Jan-2008 (Yesterday) and Josh & Associates forgot to renew their valuable assets.

Basically, all ads served by Adverlets.com is down, because the domain name is inactive mode.

You have to remove Advertles ads code from your blogs. If you don’t, your websites will auto forward to registrar’s domain parking page.

Apparently any blogger that is running Adverlets on their blog is now re-directing their visitors to some funny page. This because for some reason, the folks at Adverlets ‘forgot’ to renew their domain name.

I run Nuffnang ads exclusively so I am not affected so I sympathize with those that have been hit by this pain-in-the-arse. The blogosphere is rife with angry bloggers who are running Adverlets code.

There should be no excuse for this kind of shite to occur. Stuff like renewing domain names etc is basic bread & butter for a company like Adverlets. You have to wonder, what they are focusing on if they can’t even get something simple like this right.

    Thumbs-down!

Nuffnang is still Cowboy Caleb’s weapon of choice for ad placements!

Color me pissed off. I had readers emailing all evening telling me my site had been hijacked by some dodgy ad page. Josh Lim and his ilk should quit this industry from sheer shame by how badly they screwed up. Really, really sad.

You know before Nuffnang launched in Singapore, Ming approached me to join. One of my conditions was that Ming & co focus on their core competencies – optimize their code, upgrade their infrastructure and make sure everything runs 24×7. Everything else was supposed to be secondary to this, even the recruitment of new bloggers and new ad buyers.

Guess, nobody told Josh the same thing.

coz he’s too buzy to condemn the competitor to even remember this simple thing.

either way, the way he’s been running his “business” won’t last long anyways. sooner or later nia. this is just one of the list of things how incompetent he is in the way he deals with things. i can’t believe ppl actually believed that advertlets would pay any tom dick and harry at least 10, even 20 times more than nuffnang for each ad without thinking how feasible it is as a cost effective measure of doing things.

it also took those ppl who put their ads a long time to understand how badly adverlets fucked up by not renewing their domain name when i answered their questions about “how come advertlets got funny site showing one?” yesterday afternoon. most of them cldnt believe that it translates into “fucked up big time”

Thank you for the heads-up. I didn’t notice earlier because my blog was still fine yesterday, and who checks their own blog early in the morning anyway?

The winner from this? Nuffnang, because now that the Advertlets code is gone, they have the top spot on the sidebar.

That really is fucked up. One of the biggest mistake any online business could make and they got it.

I wonder how their customers will respond? Hmm.

Nuffnang totally make good use of this opportunity.

    Got kena also…

Correct! No excuse! Compensation to affected bloggers would be more appropriate.

I still have RM100++ to collect. Will do it once they go back online. Or IF they ever go back online… huhuhu…

    Advertlets no money pay bill?

I wonder how would Josh Lim handle the damage control now…

mr lim>>nuffnang doesn’t need to capitalize on this coz they ald proven themselves using a simple plan of getting their heads screwed on tight to work hard and steadily, and not succumb to bitching abt the competitor.

why the need to sieze the day when u r ald ahead?
