Following up from my Lomo Actionsampler camera purchase, I was lucky enough to borrow a Lomo Fish eye camera from my pal Ah 9.

The world’s only 35mm camera with a built-in fisheye lens! It sees a sweeping 170-degree view – compacting everything around you into a compact circular image.
To tell you the truth, I had a lot of problems with this camera. Firstly, it handles photos in the sunlight pretty well but then what camera doesn’t? And only closeups look good. Anything else just looks errr… round.

Here’s one of minishorts and myself.
The built-in flash doesn’t work very well at all. In fact, out of a roll of 36 shorts, I only got about 20 photos because the rest were completely black!

This photo looks terrible although it was quite bright in the room when I did the shot

And this photo of Ruok makes him look like a he’s a drug dealer’s best friend.
So this terribly low-tech camera is going to cost you about SGD85, and is it worth it?
Yes. Because it’s great fun in the sunlight.
