I got this in the mail recently.

My name is Philip Tatham; I’m the publisher at Monsoon Books in
Singapore. Monsoon is fast making a
name for itself as one of the most exciting independent
English-language publishers in the region.

I would like to know whether you would be interested to receive free
review copies of our books as and when they are released. There is no
obligation to review them and certainly no obligation to say nice
things! I rather enjoy the occasional bad review; I’m not sure the
authors feel the same way though.

I replied in the positive. They’ve got pretty interesting titles. And of course, I get to keep the darn books. Free books are like free beer. People offer them with some hope you’ll reciprocate in the near future.
