Tiger Airways: It Pays To Choose Well
Usually when you travel by budget airline it’s a free-for-all seat grab. If you’re fast and lucky, you’ll get a nice seat. That’s always been the case (hey, I fly budget when I go on holiday because the company isn’t paying) and people have never liked it.
Introducing the latest Tiger Add-On: Seat Selector!
Traveling with your family or with a large group of friends? Wishing you had more leg room? Need easy access to the aisles?
Introducing the latest Tiger Add-On - Seat Selector! With Seat Selector, you can now book seating with your travel companion(s) and in the seat that you prefer too.
Enter Tiger Airways. They’ve actually figured out that you hate this high faluting free-seating thingamabob so much that they’ve decided you may actually be willing to pay to choose your seat.

You know what - they’re right. Not all seats are made equal. As a frequent flyer, I can tell you that there are seats that you most definitely do NOT want to be stuck on and seats that really do make a 3 hour flight seem shorter.
Well the flights are bleeding cheap (if you plan in advance) so I guess paying a little bit more for additional ease of mind wouldn’t hurt.
Update: AirAsia is now offering the same option for RM20.
