This is so weird… the streets of Changping town are semi-deserted because its population has been emptied out for the Chinese New Year. They sparkle and the usual pollution/smog is missing.

My hotel is even stranger. It’s vacant. I think I’m the only person living there. I went for breakfast this morning, and found that there was no buffet laid out. The hotel is operating on a skeleton crew because there’s hardly any guests. So I had to order a set breakfast.

So this is how the Chinese New Year is like in a country full of Chinese.

    Empty.
