2006 Review/2007 Resolutions

2007 came in a strange manner. Despite bravely surviving winter in various parts of Dongguan, Shanghai and Suzhou without even the slight sniffle (you try taking a shit in one of those squatting variety toilets with the surrounding temperature at 3 degrees celcius), I came down with a viral fever almost immediately when I got back to sunny Malaysia and spent most of the Chinese New Year delirious and in bed. While the fireworks were exploding with glee outside my bedroom window, my fever-racked body shivered at 39 degrees.
Here is a review of my 2006 resolutions
1) Travel at least twice to a foreign country
I travel at least twice a month to China, Thailand and other forsaken parts of Narnia these days…
2) Bring my wife out for a date once a week
Yeah, when I’m in town, lah.
3) Buy a car
Not only did I buy a car, I bought an executive-class car. Hooray for me.
4) Become a social volunteer and do some charity work
Always at the disposal of WMD as usual.
5) Use my awesome powers of blogging for good and never for evil
When have I evar been an evil bloggar?
6) Improve my mandarin
My mandarin is vastly improved. It’s now almost on par with my malay!
Amazing what one can achieve if one sets realistic goals eh? That’s a great example for all my fellow underachievers out there. So without further ado, here are my resolutions for 2007.
