Postcard From The Fringe
Hi, it’s been awhile since I blogged. You see, I’ve been spending a lot of time in central and southern China.
I left in early January after I spent a weekend of fun and sunshine in Bintan with my posse of Duckhawk, Ghostrider, Sandralicious, Joel and Makanguru. I would like to declare once and for all that this post I made earlier is now redundant because Bintan truly is indeed a colony of Singapore. Everything is priced in SGD and you can watch all your favourite mandarin drama on channel 8 as usual.
In fact, I had so much fun in Bintan that I went to Shanghai with a hideous sunburn at zero degrees celcius. At that temperature, a condition like a sunburn is a paradox. First of all, people have no idea what to make of my sun tanned skin - I stood out like a sore thumb. Secondly, a person with a sunburn cannot take a hot bath because it’s too painful but is also unable to take a cold bath because it’s too f87king cold. Like is full of painful decisions.

Did I tell you that my new car arrived as well? I only had a couple of days to play with it before I left for China. Just to make sure my car would look as good as when I received it - I sent it to a little car grooming shop to seal in several layers of the excellent Klasse sealant. I strongly recommend this little shop called ‘Sunshine’ because it’s the only place in JB that uses Klasse plus the boss used to work in a Singapore grooming center before he saved up enough to open up his own place.

My car is (at least it was the last time I saw it) a reflective mirror. I am really pleased with the results of the Klasse sealant.
Ok so I’ll be stuck in China for awhile longer. Gotta go to bed now. Am going to Guangzhou at 7.30am tomorrow to go mountain hiking.
See ya!
