Wii No Wii For Sale In Singapore?

My shock turned into dismay and later morphed into disgust when I found out that I would not be able to purchase any Nintendo Wii Consoles for Christmas. This is bloody outrageous. Apparently I am not alone in my anger because some local gamers have started an online petition called “We want Wii in Singapore!”

For the sake of all helpless uncles; for the sake of all pitiful nephews and nieces aged 10 and below, I implore you to go sign this petition so that we can all purchase Wii’s in Singapore.

I could try to bring one back, but the Wii is region-coded so no point.

it’s sold out in the UK (i think!)… i am also thinking whether to get one.. hmmm

like everywhere selling, but not official – wonder if cost is going to be lower during the official launch.

I imported my Wii at 900 sing on the day of its launch. haha. the official singapore release date is mid april this year. The wii-motes have already been approved by the government since its a blue-tooth device and needs approval to be used here. I’ve reserved another set and its configured for singapore (btw, singapore will be the only country in asia to be tapping directly with the US system for online usage) its now as low as 200+ dollars, 300 tops. Don’t be ripped off by some game dealers. Look for official carriers of the system. cheers! Nintendo 4ever!

I just bought my wii on sunday at a shop in toa payoh. To me, its a good deal, $599 (japan console) with 9 items thrown in(such as protective cover for remote and console, component cable, AC adapter, sports pack, boxing gloves, silicon cover for remote…) most shops quoted me $600 to $700 for just the standard set.

I imported from CHINA with 4 sets of controllers, sets of sport kits, 1 driving wheels, USB fans, 4 sets of silicon cover. AC conveter & SD 2 GB card at SID 1000.
And its comes with 30 games.

I cannot wait any longer so I went to HK and
paid HK$1980 Jap set with Sports pack,12 in 1 accy kit and additional console.
Boxing has left me sweating like extreme workout!

i am able to get one for $435 near my place. He says can play all regions, anywways i can trust him la.

Will be visiting Singapore from the US this month (Nov 2007) and wondering if I can buy a Wii and have it sent to my nephew in Japan. Thanks for any info la.
