Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan

Sacha Baron Cohen aka Ali G wants you to watch him make a fool out of people trying to be nice to a strange foreigner in USA. Although I do not think this movie will be screened in Singapore or Malaysia, you would be advised not to bother catching it on DVD. Not only is it offensive to anybody with half a brain, it’s about as entertaining as wiping your ass with your bare hands.

Verdict: zero stars out of a possible five.

You seem to be in the (very small) minority, rottentomatoes.com gave it a 92% rating, making it one of the highly rated movies of the year. I personally love all of Sasha’s 3 personas - Borat, Ali G and Bruno, the clips I seen of all 3 have never failed to make me laugh uncontrollably. But yeah I guess comedy is very subjective.

Oh I loved the Ali G movies, but Borat really is offensive.

Sacha Baron Cohen’s really a devout Jew, and makes all that statements as Borat just to show how small-minded people can get.
