Good Knight, Singapore Serf

I’ve just received an email from Calamari informing me of Singapore Serf’s sad passing away. He was found silently still in his room by his housemates.

In case you don’t know who he is, the Singapore Serf aka The Knight of Pentacles was a Singaporean blogger who emigrated to Perth, Australia in search of a better Tomorrow. His blog chronicles his failure to carve his niche in Singapore and his struggle to emigrate. While I did not know him personally, he did communicate with me in short bursts. I found his need to seek greener pastures elsewhere rather strange, but all in all respected the way he struggled with a different outlook of life.

The blogosphere is diminished by his loss. I mourn.
