Now E.T Can Call Home

My wife has finally cornered me into buying a new phone. I am the proud new owner of a black Dopod 818 Pro. I bought it because it’s light, has a 2M pixel camera, wifi, bluetooth and I’ve wanted one for the past 3 years but have denied myself because it excites me in a sado-masochistic manner.

Of course I bought it because I really need functions it provides like email, task monitoring and calendering. This phone is pretty good at multi-tasking. I don’t plan on playing games or watching movies on it. So I think this really is a suitable phone for a moderate cheapo business user like myself.

By the way, the Dopod 818 is actually the O2 XDA Mini. My only complaint is that my banana fingers the paws of zeus are a little too fat large to use the touchscreen - I press more then one button at a time, so I have to use the stylus constantly.

Heh…looks like you lost to your wife.

Wife = 1, Zeus = 0.

its probably my phone casing with a better camera (crap still), wifi built in and newer OS.

You should start surfing http://www.ppcsg.com now for more info about how to better utilize your phone.

Good or not? My hubby was just talking about this and thinking of getting this over the O2 Atom. He says it’s actually OEM from the same source but more affordable.

The OEM manufacturer is a taiwan company called HTC. I got my company to give me a DOPOD 838 as part of an experiment to enable Exchange e-mail on the Dopod phones. The slide out keyboard is really useful in e-mails

Atom is by Quanta, not HTC. Anyway, Dopod is more stable than the Atom, having launched earlier. If u dun need the xtra features Atom has, go for Dopod lor.

I am drooling over the upcoming Nokia N80. I am having too much trouble with W2003SE on my Dell. Files just disappear into thin air and programs just refuses to start even when the .exe files are there.
