2005 Review/2006 Resolutions

Milestones of 2005

  1. I proposed marriage to my gf
  2. Bloggers.SG took place at DXO
  3. Tomorrow.SG became a resounding success
  4. The Cowboy Bar was born
  5. The Cowboy Bar organized Virtual Insanity, a charity halloween party and it was a spectacular success
  6. I attained the next level of my professional qualification requirements
  7. My grandmother died of old age
  8. My uncle had a heart attack and passed away
  9. My friend Sondra passed away from a rare blood disorder
  10. I became a Travel Writer for Tiger Tales

All in all, 2005 was a very exciting year. There were many heartaches and triumphs, most happening within a week of each other. The saddest part of 2005 for me was the 3 deaths that occured. But this was offset by the happiness I found in my gf accepting my proposal, my new friends in the Cowboy Bar and the excitement of the Tomorrow.sg project.

My resolutions for 2005 were a total disaster - I didn’t achieve a single item…

So I’ve decided to make my resolutions for 2006 more realistic, lo and behold - here they are:

  1. Hit the CPF contribution ceiling in 2006
  2. Travel at least twice to a foreign country
  3. Bring my wife out for a date once a week
  4. Buy a car
  5. Become a social volunteer and do some charity work
  6. Use my awesome powers of blogging for good and never for evil
  7. Improve my mandarin

Yeah, I concur. Realistic is the word. Another thing I do is to add on to my resolutions as I achieve them. Which is what I did in 2005. No resolutions at the beginning, only at the end.

Happy 2006!

Great resolutions, I must say, especially #3 #5, #6, which are heartwarming! :)
