Dear Mr Emil Chau

Dear Mr Emil Chau,

After all your years of travelling to Singapore to perform and plead for the public to donate money for kidney patients, it turns out that only 10 cents from every dollar went to the kidneyically challenged amongst other wrongdoings.

If anybody has a right to be pissed, it’s you and I’m sure that by now you would be royally pissed. I have no idea if you have seen the news yet, but I would like to take this chance to express my sympathy.

regards,
C. Caleb

P.S: Maybe you can write a song about this?

Most of the artistes are paid… at a fraction of their appearance fees though.

I don’t think that most were paid at a fraction of their cost. Considering that the NKF was running as if it were a corporate organization, I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that most artistes were paid at market rate. However, I recall that Emil Chau is one who frequently performs that such shows without charge, but I think in the case of NKF he is probably in the minority.

Excuse me, but I think you must be quite naive to think that Emil Chau did it for charity. He did it for himself, for money. All of them are the same - the compere, Cao Qi Tai, do you think he did it for charity? Do you know how much he was paid? Do you really think they worked so fucking hard for charity. It’s for the money, dude!

So how much was he paid? Even the artistes who perform at NDP receive a fraction of their typical appearance fees for their effort. So you think they did it for the money?
