No Regrets Being My Friend Right?

While other people are admiring the beautiful xmas decorations all over Singapore, Bugis Junction has decided that Skynet has taken over planet Earth and wiped out civilization as we know it. Therefore, they decided to use the most basic of materials, scrounged from scrap yards and dumps. The result is the hideous tree above, which by my blessed manberries - is the best most ugly tree in Singapore.

Powerpuff looked visibly shaken (her royal eyes are used to only viewing beautiful and ridiculously priced works of art and high culture) so we went to some sorry excuse for a cafe called TC C and had the beverages below.

They looked very nice. The photo was taken with Powerpuff’s spanking new razr phone. Unfortunately, the coffee was rather awful and did not pass my ridiculously low standards of caffeine-based drugs. Halfway through our break, my stomache cramped and I had to run to the washroom.

Of course that didn’t stop our little tete a tete. I was sms’ing her from the bathroom and she was replying to me from the cafe.

Do you know why you’re always depressed?

Why am I always depressed?

Because you’re crazy.

By this: ’so we went to some sorry excuse for a cafe called TC C and had the beverages below’ , i hope you just meant that the coffee is bad. I did spend alot of effort design the cafe interior… anyway… if it looks bad to you, i do welcome some feedback from you, a design strives to imrove, so I’ll take this with my teeth grinding…. :D

hahaha you sms from the bathroom? I’m already done with my business before even fumbling the phone out of my pocket. But I reckon yours took quite a while due to the bad coffee.

Terence Yong: not too bad. But if you want suggestions, maybe a cosier effect will make a lot of difference.. after all cafes are chill out place right?

Cowboy: You’re a looney too otherwise you wouldnt have looney friends.. :P

Terence:
1) Bad climate control. We were freezing inside although it was a blazing warm day.
2) Not cosy. Might be a lighting problem.
3) I had the Harar. Either it wasn’t prepared properly or it was just not very good. I didnt finish it either.
4) Powerpuff had some iced tea. She didn’t finish it.

Don’t worry, I’ve noted that you’ve got a full house most of the time when I pass by. Great location with lots of pedestrian traffic.

I think TCC’s designs are pretty nice. The wood panels are all very classy. Somehow Starbucks’ design is so-so. Coffee Bean looks the same everywhere…

I think what he meant is about the lousy drinks.

Cowboy: Freezing temperature is controlled by the crew I guess heheehe.

Hmm… To answer Caleb,

1) Bad climate control. We were freezing inside although it was a blazing warm day.

Paiseh, the crew really has to know about this, Im their appointed designer(not employed under TCC, but diff. company), have no control over their outlet maintennance issues, so next time just ask the staff to increase the temp.

2) Not cosy. Might be a lighting problem.

Maybe for Bugis outlet… but do check out the other outlets, Im sure you will the rest very very comfortable… Circular road, SMU, holland V, etc…

3) I had the Harar. Either it wasn’t prepared properly or it was just not very good. I didnt finish it either.

Hahah.. my client is going to kill her staff for this… but its good if you can feedback to the staff…. Again I’m not involved in their operations.

4) Powerpuff had some iced tea. She didn’t finish it.

Same as above

Don’t worry, I’ve noted that you’ve got a full house most of the time when I pass by. Great location with lots of pedestrian traffic.

Actually, bugis outlet is done with a very shoestring budget, as there are lease issues involved. Do check out other outlets…. It may not be the best cafes you have ever stepped upon, but there are sure proud pieces of interior design work that I would declare.

Terence:
Climate control - my bad. Next time I will ask the staff.

I am going to have lunch at the TCC in the underground near Raffles Place MRT today and post and give it a try ok?

Thanks for responding. It really makes me feel great that you guys are listening to us at the end of the food chain.

hahah…. Well actually, I’m actually just an egoistic designer who likes to ‘think’ that people actually like my designs. Well, I’m in no way really affliated to TCC at all, to me, they are more of being my clients than anything else. Nothing beats the joy of having someone tell u: Is that done by you? NIce!!!

hahah… priceless…. there I go wallowing in self worship….
