Idle Forevar

I seriously have no idea what would be going through Cowboy Caleb’s mind when he return to Singapore, only to find out that one of his closest pals, “La Idler” Sondra, had passed on due to a rare blood disorder. Sondra was one of Singapore’s blogging pioneers and an editor at Tomorrow.SG.

We met briefly at the Bloggercon. I read her blog occasionally and she’d drop comments on my blog every now and then, but I never really got to know her well.

Today, I revisited idledays.net and read back some of her past entries, including the one that made me laugh out loud, and the one that made everyone worried.

It’s surreal reading the blog by someone who’s no longer with us. Her past entries became part of her autobiography and her web presence will be felt long after she’s gone.

It’s vaguely comforting. Sondra’s blog had, in a way, immortalised her.

Rest In Peace.

Shocked too. This is the second time I read someone’s last entry.

i think it wld be a good idea if we set up a fund to keep the blog alive?
