This Is Level 2

After I OD’ed on sashimi and cake at one party, I jumped ship to join Terz and Tym at Wine Bar last night. Despite the long queues and crowds of people, the two had already secured tables with plenty of room for friends and allies.

How boring it is to stay sober whilst the rest of your friends imbibe with glee. A continuous stream of gay drinks like vodka crystal and long island tea kept flowing at our table. After LMD arrived with her friend, tray after tray filled with dozens of shot glasses containing Illusion would serve as the weapon of choice.

The numerous unlucky souls standing around and milling like sheep looked at our table with envy. Not only did we have two tables, we even had empty seats. I came up with a proposal for my fellow hedonists:

We should walk up to a bunch of guys and say

“Hey your lady friends look pretty tired. Their heels are tall and their feet must be hurting from all this standing. Why don’t we exchange you this seat for 2 jugs of long island tea?”

If this ploy worked out, we would have established a new niche market. A previously untapped resource for restoring the equibrilium of pain in clubs. We would rule the world. But we never got around to doing it because we had too many darn drinks left untouched on our own table.

We would rule the world.

Joining us were the posterboys of the local short film industry - Randy and Nicholas. It’s easy to see why the two managed to bag both the Judges and Audience awards at the Fly By Night Challenge 2005 on their first attempt. Nicholas is well-read, intelligent and able to bring a fresh angle to almost any topic. Randy is funny, sensitive and pole-dances. Between them, the creativity flows almost effortlessly when they collaborate. I expect greater things to come from this union of minds. In fact, I’m going to attend their film premier party this evening. In case you haven’t met seen their short film, you can catch it here.
