It Is The Will Of Mighty Zeus That You Install Wordpress

The clang of Zeus’s jaw when it hit the ground was as pertinent as his thunderclap.

“You are using what?!!”

One night, it was discovered that Ruok (actor, author and barfly) was blogging not with blogspot, livejournal, xanga or any of the other blogging tools that span time and space. Instead, the asshat was using Dreamweaver to edit his blog by hand and painstakingly uploading files one by one to his web site.

Obviously such outrages could not be tolerated. The year is now 2005 AD, and the dude doesn’t even have permalinks. In fact, the dude didn’t know what a permalink was. Yes, so I had no choice. An ultimatum was handed out to him - to either install Wordpress or be denied the succour of Aphrodite forevar and evar.

Ruok now uses Wordpress. He is a happy blogger.

it is a double work when you blog manually without using blogtool, I myself have never done it, the first time which was in 2002 I already used blogger. I didn’t know that Ruok blogged by hand, they, who blog by hand probably don’t know that there’s a simpler and better way to blog. lol. this is 2005, dude!

And …. pardon me, this will be a critic, but it’s what I think: people who blog by hand are the people who think they’re smart enough to think that everyone does the same as what they do. lol.

Anyway, congratulation for the new blogtool, Ruok.

Anonymuis : No lah, I know everyone else not blogging by hand lah. But at that time the hosting company didn’t support most of the blogtools, and I was under contract. I just switched to another hosting company beginning of the month. And besides I not smart lah, it took me ages to learn Dreamweaver (and I still don’t get most of the stuff) and it also took me ages to learn Wordpress (Its still Greek to me) :P

Ruok: hehehe … welcome to WordPress :) I myself don’t know how to use dreamweaver, been ages that I’ve not used it anymore. And I didn’t know that there are hosts who don’t support most of the blogtools, maybe you didn’t get PHP? I just moved to WP this year so I’m also still learning WP (I’ve used PMachine before).
