Virtual Insanity Halloween Party 2005 Costume

This is the costume I have selected for this Sunday’s Virtual Insanity Halloween Party 2005.

The No. 1 Costume Costume store was pretty easy to find. It’s smack in the middle of Aliwal Street. But it was pretty shocking to discover how packed the shop was with hordes of clueless people looking for the right costume. Luckily I had LMD, Terz, Tym, Ondine and Packrat along to help out.

I really wanted something that stood out and yet could cover my hideous face for the entire night without too much discomfort. Finally I found a mask the colour of chasing gold that had holes cut out at the mouth so I could insert a straw into it and drink. The wig totally complemented the mask and the fabulous yellow coat I’ve gotten.

The incredibly ingenious Packrat has decided to go as a Barbarian Grim Reaper (previously featured on Scream 1, 2 and 3). The photo on the right also shows how a little blue hair brings out the incredible contours of a horned viking helmet.

The party is this Sunday at 7.30om. Here’s how you can come along and join in the fun.

1. Get your tickets by sending an email to this address and ask for a ticket. They cost $15 and proceeds go to charity.
2. Print out your ticket and go to the No. 1 Costume Costume store to rent a costume. You’ll get a $10 discount when you show your ticket.
3. Visit the official party website for more details.

It doesn’t matter if you’re coming alone and don’t know anybody else. We’ll be there to make friends with you and introduce you to all things hazardous to your mortal soul. So hurry the hell up and get your ticket if you haven’t already done so.

If I could go, I would wear a Darth Vader mask with some device there to make my voice like his when I talk.

Must go comb your costume’s hair ah. Maybe use Organics Frizz-Control on it.
