Finally

The Catholic Church no longer swears by truth of the Bible, and it’s about friggin time they made it official too. All the crap in the old testament, especially in Leviticus really irritates me to no end.

OK. There are like 22 comments here. So let us make it 23 and my 2cents worth. As far as I know the Sumerians had tattoos as well. But coming closer to time, the Indochinese engrave tattoos for religious reasons. So if a Viet or Cambod sport one, they are wearing them as amulets, etc with the sanction of their Buddhistic faiths.

Well, in this case, they’re just admitting that the secular mythical and pseudoscientific stuff that packaged along with the religion is becoming increasingly hard to swallow as the ages pass, and detracting from the true core of the faith. Still, it’s a start.

I’m assuming you’re talking about some of these highlights from Deuteronomy and Leviticus illustrated here in Lego.

Genesis ii, 21-22 and Genesis iii, 16 could be keeping up with the times, being more politically correct. great news for super super duper career ladies, more incentives to be christians if they do not have to, you know, be ruled by men and all that anti-feminism poo poo stuff.
