My Petty And Circumscribed Powers of Lunch Choices

As a growing (sideways) boy, the choices of nutrition during lunch innudate me. However, this week my tummy is not at all well, forcing me to abandon the delights of spicy and greasy food for more healthy pastures. Though there be many many sandwich joints in the CBD of Singapore, my weapon of choice is the subway.
From the poster above, you may glean that Subway has come up with a good marketing gimmick to attract the likes of me. I think Mondays are overpriced (teriyucky). Tuesday is a tad overpriced (Friggin ham is cheap leh) while Wed/Thurs are good value for money. In fact, today being a Thursday, I can attest to the tastiness of the Subway Club Sandwich. Last night’s dinner was the Wednesday Roast Beef Sandwich. Friday’s $2.90 sandwich is clever, with many people fasting and avoiding eating dead animal carcasses.
But the ultimate value is on Sat and Sun. Roast Chicken and Turkey Breast leh! Have you seen the price of turkey breast lately? Bachelors of Singapore, I bear witness to this great deal.
El Cheapo has this to say:
“Always get the 6-inch sandwich because that’s all that can fit into a normal stomache unless you happen to be a cow, inwhich get the foot long option and join a gym later. Forget getting a drink, it’s not worth it. There’s always a 7-11 somewhere near a Subway joint. After eating, just go get a drink from there to wash your lunch down”.
