How Dumb We Were Back Then…

When I was really young I thought that aunts were aunts when they were young and became grandmas when they got older.

When I was younger I believed that testicles were actually babies waiting to be put in a womb.

When I was little, I used to believe that your hair was a huge wad inside your head, and that’s how it kept growing. And that if you cut it too often you would run out of hair and become bald like your dad

This is one of the more interesting sites I’ve stumbled upon this week. It’s all about what you used to believe in when you were a kid. Granted that humans are born insane, and slowly become rational with age before reverting back to infantile behavior in old age, some of the stuff inside here really relates to me.

For an example, as a 5 year old kid, I used to believe that the war wasn’t really over and that the Japanese were just hiding in retreat. Whenever an airplane flew in the sky, I would strain my eyes to see if it was a Japanese warbird.

Let’s see…when I was little I had the typical phase of “maybe everybody is a robot and all is unreal” thing. And I thought there must be something behind the mirror a la “Alice in Wonderland”.
Love the testicle theory! It would’ve made overpopulation impossible, too, if every man was only capable of squirting out 2 babies. But it must be painful when these things travel through your wee wee.

Interesting Empire of the Sun vibe on the second point.
