Malaysia: Social Responsibility For Bloggers!

[This is still in the Tomorrow.sg moderation queue, pending 2 editor votes, but I thought you’d like to know:]

Peter Tan said to the Malay Mail (a Msian newspaper)

“I’m keeping this one (message) for the authorities. This has gone too far and I want the person who did it to be accountable.

“If this (offensive commentaries by blog readers) is allowed to go unchecked, it will give a negative impression of bloggers.”

Popular Malaysian blogger and paraplegic, Peter Tan gets supremely dissed when somebody going by the nick of “Good Man” wrote a seditious comment on his blog. When he found out about it, he got his host to shut down access to his blog and then lodged a police report, furnishing the full IP address to the authorities. He then gave an interview to the Malay Mail and appeared on the front page to explain his actions and promote social responsibility for bloggers - an emerging force in society.

We need proof! I won’t accept any case that won’t show their proof to the people. I want to make my own opinion whether the accused truly makes a seditious comment on the accuser.
