In Trouble Then Only Remember Your Farder/Marder Hor?

If God can love these two, he loves you too (photo by asshat miyagi)

Anonymuis writes:

When I was in the bus this morning, I was saying,”oh, Lord, Father in the heaven, Father above all the fathers, Father who never leaves me alone, help me!” in my heart, a little thought came into my mind in a sudden. “Father” I said to myself,”Father..” I said again. I was thinking about the word “Father” and I asked myself,”do we really take or consider Him as our Father, The Lord?”

He knows that we, as human, oftenly only pray when we need something, when we are sad, when we are having a difficult moment, hehe!

So cute. Anonymuis has a revelation that she only runs to god when she’s in trouble. Like me. Like the other couple of billions of christians around the world.

I see it this way. When we’re happy and content, we don’t really bother much in the way of prayers and stuff. This is ok with God because any parent looking at their children living in happiness cannot help but feel like they’re doing a good job.

But when it distresses a parent when they see their children doing something wrong, and then getting into trouble. It causes a parent great pain and grief to see their children stumble. So when the child comes running and cries “Help me, I hurt“, the parent happily drops everything and embraces the child.

That’s love, innit?

Hmm,the danger of only running to Him when you only have trouble is you neglect your relationship with Him, and then forget all about Him…

Excuse me, as a mudder I must say, if they never say sorry then they will kena whack. And if they say sorry already then still go and do, they will get double whacking.

I didn’t even used to remember God when I got into trouble. Finally my friend pointed out to me that I wasn’t really a Christian because I never considered Jesus Lord of my life. After many painful years I finally was saved (can you imagine you live so long thinking you’re a Christian but actually YOU ARE NOT?! “Almost saved” still means dead, right?). Now that I am finally saved I find I love being with my heavenly Daddy — we talk and laugh and He still scolds me for things that I do and say (like scolding old men on MRT trains who refuse to take the seat I just gave up), but we have a relationship and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Thats the amazing thing that God is our “heavenly” Father. If earthly parents can show such unconditional love and concern, what more a heavenly one. Great reminder though!

Sometimes you do say ‘thank you’ to your parents don’t you for their help and blessings don’t you? Just the same I think He may also like to hear that once in a while, not just the whiny crap we always demand from Him.

I’m not religious, but I believe that prayers do help. I had my prayers answered a few times before.. and even if I don’t get the results I prayed for, it still eases myself a bit.
