Lifestyles Of The Sick and Strengthless.

Returning from the clinic clutching a fistful of industrial-strength antibiotics, I purchased some noodles and a carton of Marigold apple juice with aloe vera chunks at around 10am and proceeded to wolf it all down following which I swallowed twice the prescribed amount of pills.

The fever returned, and I fell asleep but woke up from time to time to answer the phone (damned office won’t give a man his rest) until about 4.30pm, when a waft of wind blew the aroma of ginger chicken into my nostrils and stirred my belly into a painful pangs of hunger.

I made my way to the minimart below and purchased some sphagetti and tomato sauce. Then I went back up to my apartment and started cooking it. The bottle of tomato sauce was impossibly tight and I could not open it in my current state. Try as I may, my feverish hands lacked the strength to unscrew the bottle and so I resorted to using a rubber band, which is a tale for another day.

Then I realized that I didn’t know how to tell if the pasta was cooked or not so I actually went and googled it and in the process found out a lot about how to know when food is cooked just right.

Finally when I finished cooking and started my meal, I realized that pasta + sauce without meat or anything else is really quite horrible. But then with so much time and pain invested into the endeavour, I finished it anyway.

try eating spag with campbell’s chunky soup. it’s quick and easy. you don’t even have to cook the ingredients! you just heat up the soup and pour it over spag. warning though, one can of chunky soup is damn filling. half a can should be about just right.

Aiyoh. If it’s so difficult just heat up some campbell’s soup. It’ll provide you with enough nourishment to tide you over until the fever dies down. Pasta with tomato sauce poured over it is not particularly good eating unless you’re dieting.

My easy-to-make-food is instant noodles with a hard-boiled egg or two. Serve up with a concoction of ketchup, soya sauce and sesame oil — the proportions of each may be varied to suit your particular tastebuds — and you have enough to keep a sick body going.

I would’ve made it last night if I had any instant noodles in the house…
