Lifestyles Of The Sick and Strengthless.
Returning from the clinic clutching a fistful of industrial-strength antibiotics, I purchased some noodles and a carton of Marigold apple juice with aloe vera chunks at around 10am and proceeded to wolf it all down following which I swallowed twice the prescribed amount of pills.
The fever returned, and I fell asleep but woke up from time to time to answer the phone (damned office won’t give a man his rest) until about 4.30pm, when a waft of wind blew the aroma of ginger chicken into my nostrils and stirred my belly into a painful pangs of hunger.
I made my way to the minimart below and purchased some sphagetti and tomato sauce. Then I went back up to my apartment and started cooking it. The bottle of tomato sauce was impossibly tight and I could not open it in my current state. Try as I may, my feverish hands lacked the strength to unscrew the bottle and so I resorted to using a rubber band, which is a tale for another day.
Then I realized that I didn’t know how to tell if the pasta was cooked or not so I actually went and googled it and in the process found out a lot about how to know when food is cooked just right.
Finally when I finished cooking and started my meal, I realized that pasta + sauce without meat or anything else is really quite horrible. But then with so much time and pain invested into the endeavour, I finished it anyway.
