Despite this, our newspapers have welcomed their contributions with open arms. My question is: why have we legitimised these bloggers, who have set examples for bad journalism? Shouldn’t these bloggers be subjected to (at the very least) some form of journalistic standard by which they can be compared to other writers?

Sometimes I read stuff that I don’t exactly agree with but because it’s so charmingly written, it kinda produces its own reality distortion field and after you’re done reading it, your brain has became strange and you cannot help but think that the author has a damn good point despite running a blog called Little Pink Soap Dinosaur.
