Last night the editors of Tomorrow met up at Cafe Amigo for a National Day’s Eve dinner. In attendance were:

    1. Mrbrown
    2. La Idler
    3. Tinkertailor
    4. SSF
    5. Xiaxue
    6. LMD
    7. Agagooga

    Preetam
, James, Han and Popagandhi were not in the country and could not join us but sent their best wishes.

The food was excellent. Escargots, crayfish, duck and steaks for mains followed by crepes, apple pie and tiramisu for desert. I think the only low point was the not so good bottle of Chilean wine I randomly selected out of the huge wine list (Cafe Amigo is reknowned for their list).

In discussion was fine-tuning the moderation process at Tomorrow.sg and the unpublishing process. This was just one of many meetings to help Tomorrow.sg grow and evolve. Definitely required as seeing how people just love to gloat and tear us down when we hit a snag.

So we’ve ironed out everything and had a great time in the process.

All’s fair in love and war… Tomorrow.sg is definitely an interesting development, if not one which showcases how matured (or infamous) the Singapore blogosphere has become.

It’s definitely never easy running an editorial of this magnitude. There’s always gonna be politics so everyone has to get used to it. I was a victim of trolling on Tomorrow.sg myself and was told that the best thing was to ignore it. Comparatively, even Slashdot has faced criticisms on all sorts of things, including moderators who troll on users. Perhaps this is why Digg.com maybe getting more popular than Slashdot now (since Digg seems more democratic in the selection of popular articles).

On my end, I hope to provide more constructive criticisms rather than to simply downplay Tomorrow.sg… it’s a good thing I feel, and there will always be room for improvement. For all the hard work, here’s two pats on your backs… *Pat! Pat!* :)

    Hey guys,

In case I never said it before, I think it’s less important -how- you guys are contributing to Tomorrow.sg, and more important that you ARE contributing.

    Thank you.

[…] is article was a little too strong for the editors at Tomorrow.sg (See CowboyCaleb’s Pre-National Day Dinner post). They thought I was dissenting their blog. L […]
