Teaching Sucks Ass

My favouritest blogger, Kutu has very strong feelings about teaching as a profession. I’m inclined to laugh along with her. Here are some of her recent gems.

The grass is always greener on the other side. But I think the worst job in Singapore belongs to those dudes who have to stand around all day at the MRT stations in full combat gear with a heavy machine gun just in case shit happens. Their life is really the pits.

Can you define what you mean by pits when you refer to Police in MRT stations? They are there to protect, don’t you agree? Its something noble, at least more so than many other occupations I know whose sole reason for existence is to enrich their pockets. Or worse, those who do harm to society and contribute nothing in return.

I admire what they do. Make no mistake about it.

so these guys with the heavy machine guns… what are they supposed to do again when a bomb goes off? Put the wounded out of their misery.
So they spot some crazed dude in a winter jacket in a crowd, what are they gonna do again? I hope their aim is good and the gun’s got single shots, scopes, and uses non armor piercing bullets.
