Singapore Is A Wonderful Place To Live

This afternoon during lunchtime I went to the new National Library at Bras Basah.

My jaws dropped - it’s awesome. I can’t even begin to describe how cool I think the place is. Amazing architecture. Self-service kiosks. Free internet surfing. Millions of books. Bamboo forest.

It was then that I realized, how proud I was to be in Singapore while I stood outside admiring the contours of the library.

Needless to say, I borrowed a bunch of books. And you’ll probably find me there after office hours from now on as well.

Haha!! the libraries in singapore is definitely not the boring places I grew up thinking libraries are!! but over here in canada, i am better off going to the bookstore!! Darn… I miss singapore!

The lifts are supercool! If you have an overactive imagination (like me) you can pretend you’re on a theme park ride. Yeah…

Singapore always looks so modern to me. everything polished and spacious.

Check out the place today…damm crowded on weekend with whole families tagging along…

You know what makes us librarians most happy (I can safely say this on behalf of my colleagues) — it’s that library users like yourself feel that you connect with the library a little bit more.
