The Afterlunch Blog Catchup
Am half-dead as I went for a swim despite being out of shape. 10 laps were enough to cripple my knees. So while I was having my lunch, I flipped through a few blogs. Here are the interesting posts I found today.
Tym has a tale about a stray parrot. Lucky for that bird, it flew into Tym’s office. If it had ventured into mine, I would definitely have put it out of its misery with a swift blow to the head with an umbrella (wooden variety, SGD23 from Takashimaya). I f87king hate animals. Insects on the other hand, fascinate me.
And then the ever wacky Faith Toh displays a rare moment of sombre sanity as she puts Frances Ong, a Today writer that’s severely out of touch with reality, in her place with a piece about marriage entitled Sit, roll over, play dead, obey… good dog! Nice one, Faith - you show that woman what it’s all about.
Last, I read through Simon’s latest Daily Linklets. They always increase my iq by a few points temporarily. There was this meeting I attended the other day where I dazzled everybody with my 7eet knowledge of China and Asian politics, and it was all because I had read Simon earlier in the day before the meeting.
