My Troublesome Tonsils

I is in Malaysia right now.
I is on leave today.
I is sick.
Wasted lah my leave like that
I is having a throat infection.
Fever, loss of appetite and dizziness.
Throat hurts. Can’t swallow.
Am huddled under a ton of blankets in the studyroom at my computer without the fan/aircon on

Lucky I bought a pirated copy of Sin City to watch last night.

I get throat infections very often, around 8 - 10 times a year. The doctor attributes this to my slightly large tonsils, which get infected rather easily. I’m usually careful when it comes to eating ‘heaty’ food like deep fried stuff or overly spicy dishes. But on Saturday, I brought my family to the most excellent fish shop at River Valley road for dinner and we ordered the Ikan Bakar. It was covered in terribly spicy sambal, and I think it did me in.

The doctor recommends that I get my tonsils removed so I won’t be so suspectible to throat infections. However, it does have one side-effect. If my tonsils are removed, my voice will change. Then you won’t be able to recognize my sexxxy voice anymore hahaha.

What is this excellent fish shop at River Valley?

PS: I’m dying to see the uncensored Sin City also…

Jokes aside. Have you tried a Chinese medicinal approach? The boil your own twigs+leaves+what’s-not type. Not that instant off the shelf type.

Everybody has their weak spots, but tonsils gotta suck especially. I never heard of the voice change thing tho!
Drink chamomille tea, lots of it and strong ! The antibiotics will just screw with your intestines.
