Pre-Podcast Show

Several readers have contacted me asking about the status of my supposedly upcoming Cowboy Caleb Magic Story Hour Podcast. I’m still trying to figure out how Audacity works. It’s not that simple. Have to figure out shite like cleaning up the audio, time-shifting the tracks and fading in/out.

So in order to learn, I’ve recorded myself playing the guitar as a pre-podcast show item. Yes, don’t go deaf while listening to my version of ‘Sunshine of Your Love’ originally by Eric Clapton. I screw up many times along the way, and at the end of the song I give up and do something else instead…

Great riffs, didn’t know your guitar skills are solid, can put Mat Rocks like me to shame as I only know how to pluck the classical guitar only.

My guitar skills suck lah. Fingers kept slipping and later the tips hurt like mad. Have not played in a long long time.

Eh did i hear wrongly or did i hear Metallica towards the end?!!

Yes, I forgot how the solo went for the song I was playing. So I stopped. And then as an afterthought, I launced into Metallica’s “Enter Sandman”. Then I stopped again because I couldnt really remember how that went as well.

So you can tell my mind is failing with age.

So kids with dreams of one day becoming a rock star need not fear. There are only so many things you need to do/have

1. Own a nationally famous blog
2. Own a guitar
3. Practice for a few years
4. Not get chronic tedonitis(better start praying on this one)
5. Buy a few guitar effects
5. Create a blogcast.

Of course, becoming a guitar legend like Yngwie malmsteen, steve vai or jimi hendrix would be considerably harder.
