Attack Of The Paper Cows

oleng, bloo and yillow

Alt is reporting that strange paper cows have been sighted at the grasslands of Marina South, Sillypore.

And did anyone notice the red, orange and yellow COWs situated in weird corners of Singapore like, along the CTE on some grassland…
They are 2D wooden cows that stands around in a herd and seemingly grazing the grass… Did you also notice tails hanging out of the backs of public buses and taxis? Bizzare ad campaign that is.

Does anybody know what’s going on?

Yes I noticed those cows too along the weekend. There are more outside Fort Canning and also next to CJC. No clue what they’re all about. I’m just as intrigued.

It is Comfort/Delgro’s marketing campaign for their PR/advertising arm or somesuch. It’s called Moove. Hence the cows.

The tails have apparently been removed from the buses. This morning I saw one SBS bus with the words “Moove Media” and Comfort/DelGro at the back of it where the tail used to dangle out.

jellygirl > dont they look like photoshoped cows? Like somebody inserted them into the photo…hehe

courly marly > comfort/delgro actually making an attempt at humour? Will pigs fly next?

Linda > you should like do a spoof of this! Instead of cows use something else? Like a t-rex?

J Schnorng > if you use wordpress, you can install it as well. Check my ‘credits’ section for the link.

barffie > dude, you got featured on http://tomorrow.sg/ for that post!!!

agentx > wow, a pdf. When was the last time I opened up a pdf?

calm one > heh, instant noodle cowgrass flavor?

I have 2 in my garden now because on the plot of empty land on the opposite street they’ve got those cows. My brother and I grabbed some yesterday.

It’s an advertising campaign. Saturday ST got report on that!

Duh. I wanted to get out of the car to take a photo with the cows but apparantly it was too darn hot. Damn!
Got some at Selegie, maybe later I pop by and take photos in the rain.

Well I bet they throw in alot of money to create the buzz. Got money - you can even have flying pigs next. Really hor!

Somebody said to me, maybe the Prime Minister of India is coming and they want to make him feel at home.

I said; well, they should make the cows wander randomly amongst the traffic then!

******

Even real cows must get bored just standing there all day.

I just saw those cow thingys at sixth avenue and someone with a sense of humor has mounted couple of carboard cows behind other cardboard cows so it looks like they are screwing each other..it is hilarious..the bus was moving too fast or i would have taken a picture.

by the way, we hindus, or at least i have started eating these sacrilegious animals, so we(or I) don’t really care about it.

Holy cow… (pardon the pun) Hahahaha… I went to take a picture with the damn cows… and I wanted to nick them home too!!! (Then again, that’s what I wanna do with almost any kind of funky free-standing advertising gimmick… including good ol’ Colonel Sanders…)

Wow but the mating ones are way out cool… I’d never have thought of THAT. (o.O)

I saw those darn cute cows along the PIE on my way to work today! Don’t have a proper digicam (with anti-shock protection) to capture them, though :P

Actually the cows are getting closer. There’s a group of 3 that have moved within 150 metres of my home on Tanjong Rhu. One has made it right to the roadside and looks ready to flag down a passing cab. My point is, don’t get lulled into letting your guard down just because they look cute…
