How Not To Woo A Girl

This video was caught during a Math lecture at NUS. The story goes like this. There was this guy who liked a girl in the class. Cui Wen’s her name. Their maths lecturer sportingly helped him declare his love for her. Now she’s popular. Is she happy? Check her blog to find out.

From LancerLord who got it from ZhiQiang

Ah yes, watch the clueless lecturer (who probably lives with his mom and is still a virgin) help his equally clueless student woo another female student. Unfortunately, she wasn’t too happy about being surprised in this manner as is evident in her blog.

Maybe one day, that rejected asshat will grow up to be a middle-aged (virgin) lecturer who helps his male students woo their school mates during lectures.

I just lurve the internet.

Watch the video here

Oh my goodness…. Even I don’t do such things :P!

My heart goes out to the utterly embarrassred and and probably traumatized girl.

I think the lecturer and the guy were insensitive.

I’m flabbergasted that that lecturer actually thought this was a wonderful idea and went along with it. LOL.

“Ah yes, watch the clueless lecturer (who probably lives with his mom and is still a virgin) help his equally clueless student woo another female student.”

That lecturer is a real nice guy (ask any students and you will know) and making that sentence doesn’t do any justice to him. Just a comment.

Something similar happened to a guy who tried the same stunt during a lecture in biz school some time ago, albeit that time a female lecture was taking the class.

She asked for the guy’s name, matric number, shot him a warning letter and told him not to try such stunts in her class again.

Eh, the prof is married and had kids.. saw him in school with his wife and kid last time. this lecturer is one of the nicest you can find in NUS. i took his class b4 and he was kind enough to let me go for my driving test and come back late for his class test… and he remembers all our names as he personally come to us to pass us our test paper in tutorials.

How to think out of the box when ppl condemn such a stunt? I mean the gov has always wanted thinking students and creative ones too and yet when someone does something radical he is shot down.

Oh well i guess tehy have to go back on teh whole romancing singapore shit all over again to get it rite this time, that is to try to instill ppl with romance if you are wondering

Because failure is not tolerated / acceptable in Singapore.

Here in Singapore, we are measured by results. It is not enough to be creative and fail creatively. You are only celebrated if you succeed - more so if you succeed creatively.

Better to fail conventionally. Then you are just a regular loser. Fail creatively.. and you see the flak that you attract!

i think the lecturer is good. at least, his intention is good. n this kind of thing, is more to be the faith of feels, rather than rational thinking that changes the originality of humanity.

A bunch of noobs. That’s no way to get a girl. I’d be pissed off if I were a girl too. I’ll be disturbed (and not flattered and of course very suspicious) if some random girl from out of the blue pulls a similar stunt.

This is not creativity. This is insensitive and tactless. People who think this is ‘creative’ ought to be bitch-slapped a thousand times.

And no, NUS is not a happening place (maybe except for the rumored loud dorm sex sounds). I was from there and it’s a boooring place. A new McDonald’s restaurant was built there not too long ago and everyone went ‘oooh ahhh’. Seriously, WTF?

i would like to point out a few things:
1)the lecturer is innocent(don’t blame him he just too nice)
2)that guy is brave!!(who else dare to do this)
3)become famous in this way is not really a “bad”
thing….at least she know out there exist someone SO fond of her…(this mean you r HOT! gurl!you r wanted!)

‘that guy is brave!!(who else dare to do this)’
other dont do this simply bocos they are more senstive…nothing to do with braveness…

he just don’t know how disturbing his behavior can be….
