Can they possibly switch teams?

Adri wonders if it’s possible for a lesbian to go straight. It reminds me of an episode of Seinfeld where Elaine goes out with her gay guy friend so his boss won’t know which way he swings but ends up falling for him. So she tries to ‘turn’ him.

Here’s how the conversation went when Jerry finds out what Elaine is attempting to do:

Jerry: Not conversion. You’re thinking conversion?

Elaine: Well it did occur to me.

Jerry: You think you can get him to just change teams? He’s not going to suddenly switch sides. Forget

about it.

Elaine: Why? Is it irrevocable?

Jerry: Because when you join that team it’s not a whim. He likes his team. He’s set with that team.

Elaine: We’ve got a good team.

Jerry: Yeah, we do. We do have a good team.

Elaine: Why can’t he play for us?

Jerry: They’re only comfortable with *their* equipment.

Elaine: We just got along *so* great.

Jerry: Of course you did. Everyone gets along great when there’s no possibility of sex.

Why would a lesbian want to switch teams? I mean lesbian sex is so hot and sexxxy. Oh I need to go take a cold shower now.

Real life story: there was this guy who announced he was gay. A few years later, he was spotted going out with a girl. It turned out that he was uncertain about his orientation, so he wanted to give it a try at being straight.

“So the girl knows about it?”

“Yah. She’s also giving herself a try.”

“Errrr… also giving herself a try?”

“She’s a lesbian.”

Some time later, they broke off. Guess their respective tries just didn’t work out.

I love Seinfeld. Best sitcom, ever!

Anyway, of course teams can be switched! Last year, if you tell me Shaq is going to be traded to Miami this season, I would have laughed.

to #5 – not every woman who engages in sex with a woman is necessarily ‘lesbian’ – in which case, none of you probably will have ‘lesbian wives’ because.. they just aren’t gonna marry you!
