Encouraged by the success of his virgin podcast, mb has unleashed several more podcasts on his blogspot site. There’s one with mb talking to himself whilst driving. Any traffic police reading this post should know where to look him up hor. This kind of topic would make great debating fodder in our boring Singapore parliament.

Chope. I don’t understand the Indian-Volvo-beef joke.
Chand has a problem with “V”s, a very common problem with Malaysians, especially Indians. It is a running joke with us and him.
And he said “thief” not “beef”.
“What do you call an Indian in a Wolwo?”
“A thief.”
Yes, it is a lame variant of “What do you call a Mat in a Mercedes?”, which is why he got teased for a) coming up with a lame joke and b) dissing his own race. He was too busy laughing from embarrassment to be thinking straight anyway. Heheh.
We work in a very multiracial office, and between close friends, we trade a lot of race-related jokes. It can get very politcally incorrect at times, but always taken in good fun.
mb: you are absolutely hilarious!
When I heard “Wolwo”, my brain automagically translated it to “Volvo”. So really didn’t get the joke, then.
It used to be that one couldn’t propagate Mat jokes on the ingterneck, but perhaps times have changed now and people are more chill …
