You Can Have My iPod When You Pry It From My Cold Dead Fingers

It’s been about a fortnight since I got my iPod. Seems like it’s become an indispensible part of my life now. Things have gotten so out of hand that I cannot imagine living without it now. I mean I actually go out shopping for CD’s just so that I can rip them into MP3’s to stuff them into my iPod. And don’t let me get started about my begging friends for a loan of their CD collection. In my possession currently are 5 cd’s nicked off MrMiyagi’s car.
And then I like to surf for iPod related stuff, which I bookmark for later abuse at an alarming rate. I’ve also developed this little unstoppable technique for rating songs. Basically when I dislike a song, I give it a rating of one star. Later I delete all one-star songs permenantly. I’ve settled down into this daily routine, which goes a little something like this.
- Get home from work, plug iPod into computer to resync and recharge
- Visit mp3 blogs, and download new shite. There is a huge variety of stuff to download each night.
Rip any new CD’s to MP3’s - Go to bed
- Wake up, check if all Mp3’s have been downloaded
- Resynch new mp3s to iPod
- Commute to my office. Listen to new tunes, which appear on a smart playlist called New Shite and displays only songs I have recently added in chronological order.
- While listening, I read an ebook on my iPod as well.
- Reach office, plug iPod into officer speakers. Blast music all day long.
- Go home. Start beginning of this list again.
Did I also mention that the cool white iPod earphones go really well with my work clothes? I must be like a sex god with them hanging off my ears. Vestal virgins swoon at my arrival.
Anyway I’m looking to purchase new headphones or in-ear buds. I hear only good things about the Grado SR60. Anybody got a recommendation?
