Never trust a beautiful woman

Today I went to Suntec City during lunchtime to get my brother’s handphone fixed (it won’t ring anymore). The Nokia center is amazing. They fixed the phone in 2 hours. The last time I brought a phone in to the M1 center, they took a week.

So I was hungry and there was this really cute waitress standing outside a nice chinese restaurant (it’s the one below Carrefour). She told us about this one-for-one offer and so me and my colleague (being cheapos) decided to give it a shot. Here’s what we had.

Braised seafood noodles ($6.00)
Black Pepper Udon ($6.00)
Total: $12.00 but with the one-for-one offer it would only cost $6.00

Then we decided to order desert:-
Almond Jelly with Lychee ($3.00)
Some weird chinese stuff ($3.00)
Total: $6.00 but with the one-for-one it’s only $3.00

So we thought we would only be paying $9.00 plus tax or something like $4.50 per person.

Then the bill came.

Additional Items
Chinese tea x2 ($3.00)
Peanuts ($2.00)
Towels X2 ($2.00)
Service Charge 10%

I am never ever going back there again. I don’t care how cute their waitresses are. Never. Ever. Bah.

peanuts and towels are the ’subtle’ plus plus…

i hate that, towels should be provided for free like it is in Japan.

peanuts are for monkeys and it should be free too…

papigiulio > the towels are moist and scented. They are used to wipe the hands and mouth after you’re done eating. A standard feature in most chinese restaurants.

AgentX > yeah towels should be free, customer service here sucks.

Aneki > lol, do come to singapore soon and we’ll be glad to help you go inflict scenes of chaos on restaurants.

echa > what, have to pay for the cutlery?! No, I don’t trust you bwahahahhaa.
mandrake > Too late, we ate all the peanuts and used the towels without thinking.

MrsWang > She had a cute tight perky bottom!!!
