The one where a handphone is purchased

Yesterday my gf and I went shopping for a new handphone. It’s her birthday on Monday, and she’s been aching for a new phone for the longest time. So after lunch at Far East Square (total population on a non-workday is estimated at 30 people) where we had those insanely spicy ramen noodles at Devil’s Hill washed down with Asahi (only beer works for spiciness level 4) - we headed over to Sim Lim Tower.
I would like to discuss the difference in brain circutry between men and women. Men are obviously going to buy the latest coolest baddest phone with the most functions. That’s why we all own swiss penknifes.
She made the poor shop owner jump through hoops as she compared the various aspects of different phones. Her criteria was size, width, colour, cuteness, coolness and weight. At one point, she took two similar phones and compared them side by side.
Finally she choose a Nokia phone that had none of the features I wanted (bluetooth, mp3 player etc) but had rise to the top of her list simply because she had seen several HK celebrities using them in movies. I had wanted her to get a cool Samsung one instead but as long as she’s happy right?
Later that night, after she had shown the phone to her mom and sister:
I should have bought the Samsung one instead
I told you to get that one, but you prefered the Nokia
Oh why didnt I get the Samsung
If you had gotten the Samsung, you would be asking me why didnt you get the Nokia one instead now
On the way home, we saw the very amazing Ethan Ong busking in front of Orchard Paragon. He is a 5 year old drummer boy who is currently the youngest busker in Singapore. Very very talented.
